At Mt. Carmel Church of the Nazarene, we believe that missions is not only international, but also local, in our own backyard.  We believe that God calls us all to play a role in missions through prayer, support, training, and being sent by God to the mission field.

December’s Missions’ Focus is local compassionate ministry. We will be restocking our Food Pantry so Pastor Jeremy can help local families in need of food. Please consider bringing non-perishable items to church during the month of December. There will be a container in the church foyer where you can put your donations. Pull-top canned goods are preferred because they are easy to open. Soup, canned fruit, baked beans, canned vegetables and canned diet soda are suggested items. Also, tuna pouches/lunches are a good choice. If you prefer, you can make a monetary donation and we will shop for you. Please mark checks “food pantry” and place in the offering bags.

Thank you for showing God’s love to the needy in our community by providing one of life’s basic necessities…food.

“Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” Isaiah 58:10

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
